Why am I so angry?
Find the boundary or value underneath the anger, discharge the activation, and respond on purpose.
Skill: Naming the violated value before acting
Start2-minute study
Most relationships are not held together by never rupturing. They are held together by repairing well.
Notice the state first. After a rupture the body stays braced — replaying the exchange, rehearsing defences, scanning for their tone. That bracing is what makes repair feel dangerous rather than ordinary.
Rupture is normal. What determines the health of a relationship is the speed and honesty of repair. Repair names your part specifically, without either minimising it or absorbing the whole of it.
Quotations are verbatim from the King James Version (public domain). Context and application below each passage are Ruach's own educational commentary, not Scripture.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Ruach context: part of a passage of practical instruction to a mixed community with real internal friction.
Ruach application: the phrase 'as much as lieth in you' sets a limit. You are responsible for your side of the repair, not for guaranteeing the outcome.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Ruach context: a proverb using metalwork imagery, where friction is part of the process rather than a sign of failure.
Ruach application: closeness produces friction. A relationship with no friction is often a relationship where someone has stopped being honest.
Run the practice here, without leaving the study.
A longer exhale than inhale nudges the body toward the parasympathetic side of the nervous system.
Take this into real life. Repair is a sentence, not a speech.
Entries save to your own I AM Resonance account. Only you can read them, and they never appear on public Ruach pages.
