Rest
Rest is not the reward for finishing. It is part of how the work gets done.
Rest resists productivity logic, which is exactly why it is hard for capable people. If your worth is attached to output, stopping feels like risk rather than relief.
The spiritual tradition treats rest as a rhythm built into creation rather than a concession to weakness. Ruach approaches it as both: a physiological necessity and a practiced act of trust.

Scripture
Quoted verbatim (King James Version, public domain). The notes beneath each passage are Ruach's educational commentary, not Scripture.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Ruach context: addressed to people carrying both economic hardship and heavy religious obligation.
Ruach application: the invitation has no performance requirement attached to it. That is the part most easily missed.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Ruach context: a psalm written from political danger, alternating between confidence and complaint.
Ruach application: 'pour out' describes unedited speech. Coherence is not a prerequisite.
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.
Ruach context: said during a dispute about rule-keeping, in defence of people who were hungry.
Ruach application: rest is framed as something made for your benefit, not another standard to fail.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Ruach context: a short psalm about the limits of human effort, using the imagery of building and guarding.
Ruach application: overwork is described as ineffective, not merely unwise.
