2-minute study

I don't know what's wrong, I just feel overwhelmed

Start here when you cannot name it. Settle the body first, then find one theme and one next step.

Recognize the state

State
Ruach educational content

Flooded is a state, not a personality. The signs are a shortened fuse, a longer list, a body that will not settle, and the sense that everything is equally urgent.

Capacity comes before clarity. Trying to prioritise while flooded adds to the flood. Settle first, then take one action small enough to finish.

Watch

State

An original Ruach film. Narration is a synthetic voice reading a Ruach-written script; Scripture in it is quoted verbatim (KJV).

Scripture

Scripture

Quotations are verbatim from the King James Version (public domain). Context and application below each passage are Ruach's own educational commentary, not Scripture.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Ruach context: addressed to people carrying both economic hardship and heavy religious obligation.

Ruach application: the invitation has no performance requirement attached to it. That is the part most easily missed.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Ruach context: a psalm written from political danger, alternating between confidence and complaint.

Ruach application: 'pour out' describes unedited speech. Coherence is not a prerequisite.

Regulate

Regulation

Run the practice here, without leaving the study.

Grounding (5-4-3-2-1)

Orienting to the present through the senses interrupts a rising stress loop.

02:30
  1. 1.Name five things you can see.
  2. 2.Name four things you can feel touching your body.
  3. 3.Name three things you can hear.
  4. 4.Name two things you can smell.
  5. 5.Name one thing you can taste, then take one slow breath.

Respond

Response

Take this into real life. One action, finishable today.

Your reflection

Entries save to your own I AM Resonance account. Only you can read them, and they never appear on public Ruach pages.
