Grief

Grief is not a problem to solve. It is love continuing after loss.

Ruach educational content

Grief moves in waves rather than stages, and it does not respond well to being scheduled. The body carries it — in sleep, appetite, energy, and attention — long after the words about it run out.

Ruach does not attempt to shorten grief. It offers company inside it: room to say what is true, permission to stop performing recovery, and small practices that keep the body from locking down entirely.

Watch

A short original Ruach video on grief is in production. Nothing auto-generated is published in its place.

Scripture

Quoted verbatim (King James Version, public domain). The notes beneath each passage are Ruach's educational commentary, not Scripture.

Jesus wept.

Ruach context: this occurs at the tomb of Lazarus, in a narrative where the outcome is already known to the one weeping.

Ruach application: knowing that something will eventually be made right does not remove the grief of the present moment, and it does not need to.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Ruach context: a psalm of deliverance that repeatedly locates God with the afflicted rather than only with the restored.

Ruach application: nearness is offered inside the breaking, not only after it. You are not required to be composed to be accompanied.

If you need more than a lesson

Ruach is educational spiritual wellness content. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, crisis intervention, or a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact emergency services, call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741.
